All The Pretty Little Horses
These prints draw on the lullaby All the Pretty Little Horses – a song my mother sang to me as a child – weaving its haunting folk melody through the landscape of my own childhood: Dartmoor.

Etched in dry-point, the imagery blends the twisted trees of Wistman’s Wood, the silhouette of Haytor, the soft brush of heather and gorse, and the quiet presence of Dartmoor ponies (pictured above).

Created using soft-ground and aquatint etching, depicting Emsworthy Mire – a place where, each spring, a haze of bluebells
carpets the moor, transforming it into a fleeting sea of colour (pictured above).
